Camp is almost over!

Updated: Jul 9

We can’t believe that we are already at the end of this years Camp Freedom! We have had so much fun learning this week! Your kids were amazing!

Our last presenters did not disappoint! We had Christopher Columbus who was able to share how God led him to the discovery of the American continent. He spoke of the importance of not putting off what God is calling you to do.

Joan of Arc shared her amazing story of being told at the age of 12 that God had a great work for her to do and how she led the French armies to victory and was able to crown the rightful king at the age of 19!

Ruth Harrington was able to share many stories about our founding fathers which depicted the importance of doing what you ought, even if it means not doing what you want. She showed us how our founding fathers blessed the lives of many by following that course.

They had a “blast” shooting off water bottle rockets and also got to make cute frames with a self-portrait to take home as a memento of our week at Camp Freedom.

We are SO looking forward to tomorrow! The kids have worked hard on tomorrows program and are so excited to show you the things they have learned!

Please come tomorrow at 8:30. The program will begin at 9:00. After the program we will hear from our guest speaker, Garrett Smith. After Garrett speaks, we will play hard until noon!

A few things to know for tomorrow:

  • Please arrive at 8:30 so that we can be ready to start at 9.

  • The kids will be performing across the bridge at the stage area. There are no seats so please bring blankets and chairs to lay out on the grass.

  • Please do not forget to have your kids wear their camp shirts. All the kids will be wearing them during the performance.

  • There will be water activities so please have your kids wear their swimwear underneath their camp shirts. Bring towels too if you’d like.

  • We will be serving treats, but no formal lunch or snack will be given. If you think your child will want to eat before 12:00 when we end, please pack a lunch.

Thank you again for all your support! We are so grateful for the help of all our volunteers and for each of you for your participation. It really takes everyone to make this week a success.

See you tomorrow!!
