Camp Freedom 2026 – What an Incredible Week!
What a beautiful way to wrap up an amazing week! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our closing program today. The children did a wonderful job, and we were so proud of each one of them. Congratulations to all of those who earned special awards! Memorizing those passages took a great deal of hard work and dedication, and your efforts truly showed.
We also loved hearing from Lieutenant Colonel Peter Cannon. His firsthand experiences serving near the Berlin Wall gave us a meaningful perspective on the blessings of liberty and the sacrifices made by so many to preserve our freedoms. We are grateful that he took the time to share his experiences with us.
Camp Freedom would not be possible without the incredible support of so many people. Thank you to our planning committee, our parent volunteers, our youth volunteers, and everyone who gave their time and talents throughout the week. Your willingness to serve made this camp a success.
Most of all, thank you to your amazing children. They were respectful, enthusiastic, and so well behaved throughout the entire week. It has been a joy getting to know them, and we hope they leave Camp Freedom with wonderful memories, new friendships, and an even greater appreciation for the principles and freedoms we have been learning about together.
Today's celebration was the perfect ending to a fantastic week! A special thank you to April Reese for bringing her cotton candy and popcorn machines—they were a huge hit! Thank you as well to the Eyres and Woodards and Binghams for doing the face painting, making the party even more memorable. And of course, thank you to our candy bomber for the exciting surprise! The children absolutely loved it. Thank you to Sara Smith and Joseanne Ware for providing our delicious treats today. Everything was wonderful! We also appreciate everyone who stayed to help clean up after the party.

If you took any pictures or videos during the week and would be willing to share them, please upload them to the folder HERE by tomorrow afternoon. I'll be putting together a video slideshow featuring everyone's memories and will send it out within the next week for you all to enjoy.
